In a joint statement issued to Us Weekly at the time, Roberts and Peters described the incident as a "misunderstanding." Roberts, the niece of Julia Roberts and daughter of Eric Roberts, also made headlines for her comments about the "nepo baby" label.
"I've lost more jobs than I’ve gained from being in the business," the "Scream Queens" star told Flaunt magazine. "People have opinions and sometimes maybe they’re not good opinions of people in your family. I've never gotten a job because of it, I know I definitely have lost a couple of jobs because of it."
