Amazon's Thank My Driver feature returns: How to give a free $5 tip after delivery

Thanksgiving may be over, but the season for giving is still upon us.
Amazon is providing customers a way to express gratitude to employees this holiday season with no cost. With the return of the "Thank My Driver" feature, owners of an Amazon Alexa device an simply say "Alexa, thank my driver" to gift $5 to whoever delivers their orders at no charge to the customer.
The promotion only applies for the first 2 million thank-yous since its Dec. 4 launch, according to an Amazon news release, leading to around $10 million in tips company-wide.
The feature debuted during the 2022 holiday season and has been used 40 million times since, the new release stated.
How to use Amazon Thank My Driver feature
All U.S. customers can participate my saying the phrase "Alexa, thank my driver" using an Alexa-enabled device including Echo or Echo Show. Those without a device can use the Alexa app or an Amazon account.

Customers can use the feature once per delivery, according to Amazon.
Which drivers can be tipped through Thank My Driver feature?
The "Thank My Driver" program only applies to Amazon drivers in the U.S. including Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Delivery Associates (DAs), Amazon Flex delivery partners and Hub Delivery Associates.
The driver who completed the customer's most recent delivery will be notified of their appreciation after the feature is used, according to Amazon.
